SUMMER CAMP 2017
Language Immersion Preschool
This means the child is fully immersed in the target language. In this case, it’s either French or Spanish. Children learn languages seamlessly. Language acquisition comes very naturally to students, so the younger they are the better.
Immersion is an excellent choice because it not only brings about linguistic abilities, but it also brings about an area of the brain that stimulates math, analytical connections, and motors skills.
Immersion brings about the wholeness of an individual, it brings about the phonetic awareness, the syntax. Everything kind of forms together to make the child a whole. Not only does it help in the academic day, when they go home it brings about the knowledge in their mother tongue.
We have students that have started here just in Spanish then the parents see that the children want to pick up French, they go home and they are speaking in Arabic, or they are speaking in Bengali or they are speaking in Italian.
What you see happening at school, you will see extending at home, and in public places, and in restaurants and before you know it you have a global citizen.
Our teachers are loving and very kind. They speak the language fluently. We do not go above 10 students per class because we are focused on quality not quantity. When we teach, we teach hands on.
Everything we do at LIPP school is using the five senses, you will able to smell it, you will be able to touch it, you will be able to feel it, you will be able to internalize everything that we are learning here.
When your child goes home you’ll be surprised when they’re singing a different song in French, a different song in Spanish, or maybe they’ll be singing a different song in a different language at home.
